Unfailing Love

Psalm 94:18

When I said, “My foot is slipping”, your unfailing love, Lord, supported me.

It’s beautiful and interesting to me that the writer chose the words “unfailing love” to be what supported him in failure.

Think about it. He could have easily chosen, your power, Lord supported me, or wisdom, or your will, or numerous other attributes of God.

But, No. he chooses unfailing love.

What does that tell me?

That in the midst of confusion, trial, chaos, we may not know His plans; when he will deliver us or even if He will save us from more pain. However, we do know that His love never fails and it is that which supports us… not the knowledge of things to come or a magical fix, just the truth that our Lord loves us through it all!
