The Spiritual Truth about Trees: Doubt Not the Seasons

Doubt Not the Seasons

Spring holds on

as long as it can

but then it succumbs

to winter’s plan

Fall brings us beauty

through death and loss

for is that not

what Autumn does?

Prepares creation

to go to sleep

the leaves change color

to orange and red

then all turn to brown and fall

and death surrounds us

for a time

the cold and greys

are in all of life

creation sleeps

it rests its purpose

and for a time

we are left waiting

then almost

over night

green leaves peep through

and flowers bloom

We do not question

this natural process

of life and death

silence and waiting

to life again

No!

We find the seasons

beautiful to behold

and we do not question

or wonder

if spring will come

So why do we question it

in ourselves?

When death comes near

there’s nothing else

but spring ahead

more beautiful and true

than anything we’ve ever seen

anything we’ll ever do
