Joyful Ruins

Discovering joy in the hard places

Rewiring the Brain: You Matter

Even when I sit a lone

in my room

no person in sight

no texts or calls

no reaching out from others

my heart may ache

my mind may start to believe

no one cares

no one sees

there are no hands reaching out

and I am a lone

I am insignificant

Stop!

Listen to me

there are people out there

people who care

people in prayer

for you

there are people out there

reaching out with their hearts

people who love you

there are people who

consider you significant

to their lives

to this world

they care

they see

they are reaching out their hands

and if you can’t think of those people

please count me as one of them

count this

as my hand

reaching out to you

and my way

of saying

You are SIGNIFICANT TO ME
