Joyful Ruins

Discovering joy in the hard places

No Contestation

I don’t want to

just tell myself I’m beautiful

I want to know it

To see it through Your eyes

I want to know

In my very core

like the flower

I am beautiful

with no contestation

because I am Your child

Imprint this knowledge on my soul

that I may not question

this beauty You bestowed

that I may not seek it

from others

that I may not force it

through acts of service

You say it

You proclaim it

and that is

the end of it

About Me

An obsessive journaler who loves meeting others along their journey and giving them a hand to hold through pieces of writing. I write about the heartbreaks of life and the joys, the ups and downs, and I often learn my greatest lessons and miracles from nature.
