How do I begin

to express

the heart of admiration

I have

for women all around the world

And I’ve been blessed

to truly know

women

from all around the world

Each teaching me

something new

Each holding

a beauty

unique to themsevles

what an honor

to call them sisters

to know their stories

to see them grow

fight

cry

laugh

to see strength

to see weakness

hope

resilience

If there’s one word I could choose

to describe

all these women

so different from one another

a vast array of colors

I would choose

Resilient

Reslient mothers raising

their children

with kindness

strength

and love

resilient single women

choosing their dreams

choosing patience

courage

hope

Resilient women

suffering

yet

continously

standing up for others

and themselves

and the quiet women

who are brave behind doors

they may not be seen by others

and yet

they inspire us just as much

impacting this world

by those silent choices

they make

every day

to be who they are
