Joyful Ruins

God has already gone before and prepared your future. He has laid it all out.

Read that again.

The One who loves you, the One who holds the universe, who calls you daughter or son, has already made your future.

Nothing you do or do not do is going to change God’s future for you.

What freedom…what relief. I breathe a sigh, my shoulders relax, my mind rests because God has already laid out my life before me with His purposes.

Relax. He tells us to relax because He’s got it.

Every single breath you take is intentionally divinely chosen and given. You no longer need to strain and strive because He provides. He has gone before you in such a way that it is all taken care of.

And you are filled with His Spirit. You are capable of being moved by Him when He wants to move you for His purposes.

You do not need to anticipate this. You do not need to work hard to receive it. You have it. It is promised. It is given.

Rest in your identity. Rest in your future. Rest in Abba’s capable loving strong protective rejoicing hands.
