Joyful Ruins

Blessed are the romantics

for they shall always desire beauty

never find its perfection on earth

but finding it in the Savior’s heart

Blessed are the emotional

for they shall feel deeply

and thus know the every facet

of the Father’s character

Blessed are the sensitive

for they will hurt

yet choose to care

and become softer

more like Christ

Blessed are the anxious

for their anxiety

will lead them into

the very arms of Jesus

Blessed are the fearful

for their fears

remind them

they follow the God of angel armies

and they shall be rescued

Blessed are the chronically ill

for their infirmities

will give them access

to the comforting arms

of the God who heals their hearts first

Blessed are the grieving

for they are the only ones

who know

that God’s love is in deeper places

than we know

Blessed are the rejected

for they have felt the heart of God

towards every person overlooked

they have turned towards Him

and found His eyes of love towards them

Blessed are the misfits

for you are exactly who Jesus chooses
