To make peace with discomfort
is not an easy task
To sit with it
Accept it
To face it
and not make it an enemy
To somehow make it
background noise
not the chorus of my day
To come to the place of courage
knowing that there is strength in me
that rises above this noise
and keeps living
How do you live with this?
Hold it tenderly
Respond to it compassionately
and remember
There is a force within you
that has the power
to give you hope
to give you joy
to keep you going
A power to take the next step
discomfort cannot stop it
