Dear Cycle breakers

It’s hard

No one gave you

showed you

taught you

what you are now

giving

showing

and teaching others

No one poured

love

care

attention

kindness

validation

into YOUR cup

and yet

You have the magic in you

to make water appear

enough to give to others

what you never got

You know with all your heart

it is the right thing to do

but it stretches you so thin

and reminds you of your own lack

You have to fight again the triggers and the trauma that arises

I see you

I am you

and I want you to know

even if NO ONE

breaks the cycle for you

Your own pain in breaking the cycle for others

will change and is changing

the world
