Discovering joy in the hard places

All these Small things

Could it be

that all these small things

will

lead me home to myself?

I’ve known their power before

but forgotten this truth

The small joys do not flip a switch

and fix your heart break

Yet

like steps leading to the top

or a rope

pulling you to safety

the tiny little things

will add up

will sustain you

will be a spark in the dark

Over time

each step

each pull of the rope

will lead you back home

to yourself
