Joyful Ruins

Discovering joy in the hard places

About Me

I have always felt just outside of the line in most groups, situations, and experiences. This feeling has lead me to love and reach out to those who feel just a bit lost and confused (sometimes for the rest of their lives). Through my writing and living, I seek to meet people right where they are at in their hearts, minds, and bodies. I reach out with a hand to hold in the middle of this journey of life.

After having my world turned upside down precovid, I began seeing so many things through poetic eyes and started writing more poetry than any other medium. However, I enjoy writing about scripture in new and fresh ways, about life experiences, mental health, movies, and much more.

I am so happy you have visited my page and hope you can find even ONE piece of writing that makes you feel seen and heard. Please keep in mind that I am not a license counselor or trained in mental health. I am just a gifted listener, empath, creative, who loves nature, people, and Jesus.

About Me

An obsessive journaler who loves meeting others along their journey and giving them a hand to hold through pieces of writing. I write about the heartbreaks of life and the joys, the ups and downs, and I often learn my greatest lessons and miracles from nature.
